For student visa, the following documents are required:
1. 3 copies of completed application form.
2. 1 recent, passport-size photo.

Residence permits are awarded to students who wish to study in Switzerland under the following conditions:

d. The institution attests in writing that the applicant has been accepted for studies
e. The applicant proves necessary financial means
f. The applicant guarantees departure from Switzerland at the end of studies.

Formalities to complete in Switzerland for all foreign students:
1. You must present yourself within ten days of arrival to the appropriate in the town where you will be living whit following documents:
i. Passport (with student visa, if required)
ii. Statement of arrival provided by the bureau of foreigners
iii. Student questionnaire provided by the bureau of foreigners
iv. Proof of acceptance from the school
v. 1 recent passport-style photo
vi. Proof of financial means for the duration of studies, or
vii. Proof of Swiss or foreign financial aid, with the amount indicated, or
viii. Guarantee from parents (form available from the bureau of foreigners). This must be completed by the father or mother, certified by local authorities, and accompanied by a permanent wire transfer order, or
ix. Guarantee from a third party (form available from the bureau of foreigners). The guarantor must live in Switzerland and prove sufficient financial means for the student's upkeep. The guarantor's signature must be notarized by the local authorities.
x. The request for a residence permit will not be processed until all documents are submitted. Cost of residence permit is for 1 semester 15 to 22 ($US), for 2 semesters 18 to 25 ($US)
2. After matriculating in the university, you must pay fees for the first semester. You will not be definitively registered until you have done this and received the receipt by post. With this receipt, you must visit the town authorities a second time to prove that you are officially registered in the university.

Other Information:
1. The visa application must be submitted to the Swiss Embassy/Consulate covering your place of residence.
2. You must be in possession of sufficient financial means to cover your cost of living in Switzerland.
3. The Swiss Embassy/Consulate may demand a declaration of guarantee.
4. You may not take up employment during your stay in Switzerland without the required permit nor take up studies exceeding a period of three months.
5. A student permit is valid for the length of the study period.

b. A change in circumstances between' the date of your application and your arrival in India it validates your entry clearance; or refusal is justified on the ground of restricted return ability, medical. grounds, criminal record, because you are subject to a deportation order; your exclusion would be conductive to the public good.
3. An immigration officer can ask anyone to be medically examined on arrival in India, if he considers necessary. If you intend to stay in India longer than' six months you could be required to have a medical examination before your entry clearance is issued.
4. You must not undertake employment or formal study/research in India unless granted employment or student visa.
5. You must leave India by the end of the authorized period of stay unless extended by appropriate authority.

Types of Visa:
There are 3 different types of visas for Academic Studies or Language Courses in Germany.

For student visa, the following documents are required:
1. Type 1: For Student Applicant Visa
a. 2 application forms with originals and 2 sets of photocopies.

Other Important Information:
1. There is no legal right to a visa, even if all documents are complete. The ultimate decision is taken by the Visa Section of the Embassy. You may be asked to supply further documentation.
2. The visa fee has to be paid while submitting the application form.
3. The application form should be submitted at least 6 weeks prior to departure.
4. If you are financed by a sponsor in your home country, that person must declare his/her willingness to cover all your costs during the standard period of study (proof of a minimum monthly income by means of documents such as tax receipts, bank statements, certificates of employment, pay slips, Commercial Register excerpts).
5. If you are financed by a sponsor in Germany, that person must submit a formal obligation according to ?? 66-68 of the German Residence Act.
6. If you receive a scholarship you must produce a letter of confirmation to this effect.
7. As a student in Germany you may work for a maximum of 3 months per year and, depending on where you study, only during recess periods (e.g. semester holidays). This applies to students only!
8. In general students are not entitled to a family reunion with their spouses and children. However there are exceptional cases, e.g. if you are a scholarship holder or on a postgraduate course. In these cases you must be able to support yourself and your family, proof sufficient accommodation for your family, and be registered at an Institute for Higher Education in Germany.

Special Note:
If you intend to study in Germany after your language course ends, please state this fact in your application, so that you can be issued with a student applicant visa or a student visa, provided you fulfill the conditions for issue. These visas entitle the holder to attend language courses and to study in Germany afterwards (see above!). If you only apply for the language course visa, you will have to leave Germany at the end of the course. It is not possible to convert this visa for another form of residence permit in Germany.

Canada Student Visa Information

Visa fees
1. For student visa you have to pay Tk 7.500 in favor of \\\"Canadian High Commission\\\".
2. Only bank drafts from Standard Chartered Bank are acceptable.
3. Processing fees are not refunded for refused or withdrawn applications.

Photography specification
1. Two identical photos, black and white or colour, taken within the last 6 months.
2. Must be clear and well defined, taken against a plain white or light coloured background.
3. Digital photos must not be altered in any way.
4. The face must be square to the camera with a neutral expression, neither frowning nor smiling, with the mouth closed.
5. Tinted prescription glasses may be worn as long as the eyes are clearly visible and the frame is not covering any part of the eyes. Sunglasses are not acceptable.
6. False hairpieces or other cosmetic devices are acceptable if they do not disguise the natural appearance of the bearer.
7. Photos in which the applicant is wearing a hat or head covering worn for religious reasons are acceptable if the full facial features are not obscured.
8. The frame size must be 35mm X 45mm (1.37? X 1.77?)
9. Must show the full front view of the head, with the face in the middle of the photo and include the top of the shoulders.
10. Size of the head, chin to crown*, must be between 31mm (1.22?) and 36mm (1.41?).

Basic Requirements for Study Permit in Canada
1. Have a valid letter of acceptance from an educational institution
2. Have adequate funds available to you to pay for your tuition and living expenses while in Canada and to return to your country of residence

7. You must also demonstrate that sufficient funds will be available to support yourself during the whole duration of your program.
8. Confirmation of any scholarship, grant, teaching or research assistantship including name of the providing institution or organization, amount per semester or year and duration
9. If some or the totality of your funds are provided by a sponsor (either parents or third party) you must also include:
a. Notarized declaration of sponsorship. If you have more than one sponsor, a separate declaration must be provided for each sponsor. However, sponsors who are husband and wife can appear on the same declaration
b. Details of assets and income for each sponsor with supporting documents such as property documentation, land deeds, rent agreement, business license, business tax information, employment letter with salary information.
c. You must also provide the income tax forms (tax assessments and tax paid receipts showing total income and amount of income tax paid) for the past two years.
10. If your sponsor is not a resident in Bangladesh

you must include:
a. The relevant tax assessments from their country of residence. (example: Notice of Assessment from Revenue Canada for a sponsor residing in Canada.)
b. A proof of the immigration status in the country of residence. (example: proof of citizenship or permanent residence)
11. If someone other than yourself or your parents is providing funds you must include:
a. Letter of explanation as to the reason why this person is assisting
b. Number of persons living in this persons household
c. Proof of this persons relationship to you; birth, marriage or school certificates, passport.
d. Affidavits or self-declarations are not acceptable proof of relationship.
12. Proof of employment for yourself, if applicable, and your parents (employers full name, address, phone number, name of supervisor with his phone number, length of service and salary details).
13. If you will be attending an educational institution in the province of Quebec you must provide a CAQ (certificat d acceptation du Quebec) from the Government of Quebec.
14. Your police clearance certificate and your birth certificate
15. If you will be under 18 years of age at the date of your departure for Canada, you must provide a notarized guardianship agreement signed by both your parents (or legal guardian) and the person who will be your guardian in Canada
16. If a consultant or a legal representative has provided you help to prepare your application or to gather the supporting documents, you should provide the details of this person (name, name of company, address and phone number). If the consultant or legal representative is located in Canada, provide his CSIC number.

America (USA) Student Visa Information

Appointment Scheduling Service:
1. Applicants may take advantage of visa scheduling services offered by Saimon Overseas Ltd.
2. This service allows applicants to purchase a fee receipt, fill out and submit their forms and passports, and schedule an interview in one easy stop at the Saimon Overseas branch office in Gulshan, Dhaka.
3. Applicants who use this service will not have to come to the Embassy until the day of their interview and successful applicants will be able to pick up their issued visa from the Saimon Overseas office where they submitted their application.

Visa Fees:
1. Saimon Overseas, Dhaka will provide a teller booth at their office in Gulshan, where people can pay the $100 non-refundable visa fee.
2. Saimon Overseas also offers all non-immigration visa applicants the opportunity to fill-out and submit their application forms, along with passport and one photograph, and to schedule an interview date/time slot in one step.
3. Applicants can also purchase fee receipts from the selected CitiBank, N.A. branch offices in Gulshan or Motijheel.
Sevis Registration & Fees:
1. All applicants for student visas will be required to provide proof of a new $100 processing fee which must be paid to DHS in the United States. No interview can be done without proof of fee payment.
2. The SEVIS fee will apply to students who hold I-20s issued after September 1, 2004. It will apply only to principal applicants, and not to their spouses or children. This is a non-refundable fee and is not contingent on visa issuance.
3. The SEVIS fee is good for the duration of their program of study unless the student falls out of status or changes status. A student will not be required to pay a new fee upon transfer to a new school, extension of stay, change in educational level.
4. SEVIS payments may be made by mail or over the internet. The website, www.fmjfee.com, will accept all major credit cards. Non-immigrant student can also pay the I-901 SEVIS fee locally via the use of the Western Union quick pay service. The fee must be recorded at least 3 days prior to the applicant?s visa interview.
5. If you do not have access to a credit card, you may contact VarsityAdmission.COM at 01819-282014 for SEVIS Fee payment by credit card. It is easier and convenient.
6. Additional information on the SEVIS program can be found on the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement?s Student and Exchange Visitor Program website, www.ice.gov. SEVIS fee must be paid prior to the visa application.
7. Students may schedule their visa interviews as soon as they are accepted to a University. While visas may not be printed without the I-20 form, students can complete their interviews with only an acceptance letter.
8. In addition to establishing that he/she is not an intending immigrant, each student must also demonstrate that she/he is a bona fide student and has access to financial resources.

Important things for filling out form:
1. Respond to all the questions. If you have no response for a question, put "none" or "nil" - do not draw a line or write "NA" or "not applicable".
2. You must provide specific contact and address information both in Bangladesh and the United States. Applications with responses such as "any hotel" as the address in the U.S. will be suspended for additional information.
3. You must sign your application, even if someone else fills it out.
4. All applicants are personally responsible and accountable for the answers on their application forms, regardless of who fills out the forms.
5. All phone numbers must be correct.
6. All four forms (DS-156, DS-157, DS-158 including the new questionnaire) must be filled out completely, even if the information is repeated from other forms.
7. If your name on your passport uses initials, you must list your FULL NAME in the "other names used" box.

Photography specification:
1. Photo Size
a. 2 by 2 inches (roughly 50 mm square) with the head centered in the frame.
b. The head (measured from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin) should measure between 1 inch to 1 3/8 inches (25 mm to 35 mm) with the eye level between 1 1/8 inch to 1 3/8 inches (28 mm and 35 mm) from the bottom of the photo.
2. Photo Appearance
a. The photograph must be a full-face view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera directly.
b. The applicant should not look down or to either side, and the face should cover about 50 percent of the photo area.
b. Side or angled views are NOT accepted.
c. The photograph must be in color, but must have only a white background. Photos with dark, busy, or patterned backgrounds will not be accepted.
d. In general, the applicant's head, including both face and hair, should be shown from the crown of the head to the tip of the chin on top and bottom and from hairline side-to-side. It is preferable that ears be exposed.
e. Head coverings and hats are only acceptable due to religious beliefs, and even then, may not cover any portion of the applicant's face.
f. Sunglasses or other wear which detracts from the face are not acceptable unless required for medical reasons (an eye patch, for example).
g. A photograph depicting a person wearing a traditional facemask or veil that does not permit adequate identification is not acceptable.
h. Photos of military, airline, or other personnel wearing hats are not acceptable. Photographs of applicants wearing tribal, national costume, or other headgear not specifically religious in nature are not acceptable.
3. Digital Photos
a. Digitally reproduced photographs must be reproduced without discernible pixels or dot patterns. Photocopied photographs are NOT accepted.
